We strongly recommend that you do not attempt to service or replace your garage on your own. The size and weight of the door may pose a significant threat to your safety if not handled appropriately. Instead, please contact a professional door provider to help replace your door.
If the door is stuck or damaged do not try to fix the door yourself. Garage doors are heavy and pose a significant threat to your safety. Instead, please contact us directly and we will have a trained professional examine your door. The technician can assess the situation and can fix your problem immediately.
Depending upon the damage involved to the garage door system, it is possible in many cases to replace a section of your garage door. We can evaluate your specific situation and give you a recommendation on the best and most cost-effective course of action.
We recommend replacing your track when you replace your door. Replacing the track is relatively inexpensive and doing so ensures that the warranty of the garage door system remains valid. Unless requested by a customer, each of our garage door installations includes the installation of new track that is specific to your new garage door.

A residential door requires a minimum of 4 ½” of headroom space. Your system will need a low headroom extension track or a low headroom torsion rear track. For a garage door opener you’ll need slightly more headroom, about 6 ½” minimum.
We recommend torsion springs on all new garage door installations. Torsion springs are typically located just above the top section of the door and are mounted to the header. They are wound springs and do not expand or contract when the door is moved. Extension springs are attached on either side of the door and stretch along the horizontal track when the door is closed. They typically offer less safety and balance than torsion springs.
Many garage door openers can be repaired, and repair may be a less expensive option. There are, however, times when opener replacement is recommended. Federal law requires that all new residential garage door openers be equipped with infrared sensors or other external entrapment protection devices. If your opener does not have these protections, it is best that you replace your opener.
